What do I need in order to use Website-box?

What is a Web Address (domain name)?
A web address is how people find you on the internet, it's what visitors type into their computers to find your website. A Web address is also known as a "domain name" or a "URL."

For example, the Web Address www.website-box.com represents the company Website-box Technologies. When you type www.website-box.com into a Web browser or send e-mail to someone at www.website-box.com, the Domain Name Server (DNS) translates www.website-box.com into the IP numbers used by the Internet and connects you to Website-box.

Do I have to buy a new Web address or can I use the one Ialready have?
Website-box will provide you with a .com, .net, .org or .co.uk domain name for free or if you already have a domain name that you wish to use, just give us your details and we will take care of the rest. You should not "transfer" your domain to Website-box - just arrange for it's name servers to be changed.

What is Web hosting?
In order to establish your online identity with a website, you'll need the name and number of at least two computers (known as hosts or name servers), so your customers can find you on the Internet. You may have these special computers in your organization, or you may need to arrange for a name service with an Internet Service Provider or a Web hosting company. Because we know that you want to focus on running your business, Website-box website hosting is arranged by us when you join.

How long does it take to register my domain name?
It usually takes between 3-5 working days to register your domain name with every DNS name server in the world.

Do I get e-Mail with my website?

How long will it take me to build my site?
It's up to you. You can quickly create a website in minutes, and then update it later when you have time. Some of our customers take a few hours to select and input their graphics and content using MS Word see our help files. Best of all, this can be done at your own convenience and updated at your leisure.

Does my website have to be 10 pages? What if I only want a 2-3 page website?
Your website can be from 1-10 pages depending on your needs. You can start with 2 or 3 pages and add more at a later date or when your business grows.

How do I add pictures, Images & Logos?
This is extremely easy all you have to do is

b) Follow the instructions given in the information pop up window or read the Help Guides

Will I be able to see my site before it gets published to the Internet?
Yes, Website-box lets you preview your personalized website pages before you publish your site. Each time you change your page content you can preview your page to make sure you like what you see. And, you can change your content (as often as you like) after you've published it.

What if I want to change my site after it's been published?

Once you have logged onto your Website-box account you can edit your site 24 hours a day, and because everything is done online, you can work from any computer in the world that has an Internet connection, even an Internet cafe.

How often can I edit and update my website?
You may edit and update your website whenever you like. You have access to your Website-box account 24 hours per day.
